Plot Summary
Recca dreams of one day becoming an excellent ninja, but in this day and age ninjas are only talked about in history lessons. While playing his ninja games, he meets a mysterious woman that reveals to Recca his past, his bond with the powerful Hokage clan, and the special flame power that resides within him. Meanwhile, the evil Kurei has plans to gather the madougu from the Hokage clan so that he may take control over the elemental powers, but Recca is determined to master his flame and stop Kurei's evil plans. Does he have what it takes to live up to his own expectations and put a stop to Kurei?

Original Opinion
I actually don't remember what mine was. I think I was looking for something similar to Naruto, but completed and not ongoing. I somehow stumbled onto this manga and decided to give it a try.
Art Style
It's your basic 90's art style of this type of manga. Nothing to special to point from what I remember. Maybe there's a bit more detail later in the series, but other than that, I can't seem to recall anything to mention.
Zombies!
This manga actually has zombies in it. Well, maybe not the zombies you're thinking of, but what the zombies use to be. You know, raised dead. Usually because there's a necromancer around. It covers other things besides zombies, but I figured I'll mention them anyway.
Fake Ninjas?
When I think of ninjas, I don't really picture a loud kid running around in broad daylight and announcing to everyone he's a ninja. In all honesty, this story is very similar to Naruto, except a tad bit more series. Also there's less main characters. Oh, and there's time travel, zombies, cyborgs, monsters, and so on.
Fire Dragons
There's quite a few in the story. Each one specializes in something. Each one has to be mastered. It really is a great way to show the growth of the main character. He grows stronger as he masters the fire dragons. Of course, like all stories of this genre, he does reach super mode by the end of the series.
Final Opinion
The manga is highly entertaining. I personally enjoyed reading it and thought there was a lot of really awesome full page drawings. They seem to be at the right spot where you're the most excited. However, it really doesn't have much ninja related things in the story, but they do talk about ninjas a lot. If you didn't like Naruto, you might not like this, but I still say give it a try. Just because it has fire dragons and there's a tournament that reminds me of the Dark Tournament form Yu Yu Hakusho. Ends pretty much the same way too.
