The Review
The intro to Dragon Crisis! wasn't really anything to brag about. I liked the music, but I felt that the singing ruined it. I'm sure there's someplace online to get the non-vocals version, but it's too much of a hassle for me.
So, we have a shy boy who helps his second cousin, Eriko steal a box from some mob looking guys. What was he even thinking to begin with? Seriously, the kid has no brains if he's robbing from these types of people. Right off in the first episode he's almost killed. Thank goodness for Rose.
Rose is a pretty interesting character just by herself. She looks like a small human girl, but she's really a red dragon. The only proof of this is her ability to grow wings and shoot fire. Everything else is human-like. Rose undergoes the most character development in the series. Starting off as a childish girl, she matures into a semi-adult woman who becomes aware of how bold she's been acting around Ryuji.
There's a verity of weapons and items in the anime that allow the user to cast a magic spell. It's pretty similar to a video game in this aspect, except for the one condition. That being only a certain type of person can use it. There's also cursed weapons and items. Once a person uses a cursed item they become controlled by it and usually end up doing terrible things to innocent people.
The music throughout the show is some of the best I've heard. It's good enough for me to want to hunt down the soundtrack. Each scene has the perfect type of music that just fits the mood. From romantic scenes to action ones, the music doesn't let you down.
And finally, because it's a Studio Deen anime, the ending theme shows the cast in chibi forms.
