So, while surfing the webz, I encountered Kel Mitchell's YouTube channel. Most of you know him from the 90's hit show on Nickelodeon, Kenan & Kel. He's been hosting the Back House Party and apparently also dances, raps, and does parodies of other rapper's music.
The above video is a recap of what seems to be the 8th competition(?). It was pretty interesting to see the First Lady there. This allows me to assume that it's a pretty big deal. Of course, I personally never heard of it. Then again I'm not really into the crowed of dancing.
About five or so minutes into the video you see Kel saying a prayer before the actual competition. I was taken back by this, but didn't think too much about it. It wasn't until halfway through the video that I started to notice things. Among the random dancing they showed, they were promoting Christian views quite heavily. Almost like if this was church event. Now, I'm not one to judge others when it comes to religious views, but this was a bit much. It's hard to take it seriously when you have the word "nigger" and "God" being mixed together.
So, did Kel sell himself out to promote God for some extra cash? Surprisingly not. After doing some research (which consisted of me checking his Wiki page), I found out that Kel is in fact a Christian. It's not something that bothers me. It was just something I didn't except. I'm not even sure why I didn't expect it, but the more I think about it, the more it just makes sense. If anyone from the original All That cast would be a Christian, it would be Kel. Why? Because expect the unexpected from one of the greatest Good Burger employees of all time.
