Plot Summary Despite Ryuji Takasu's gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent. Class rearrangements on his second high school year put him together with his best friend, Yusaku Kitamura, and his hidden crush, Minori Kushieda. Along with these two comes Kushieda's best friend, Taiga Aisaka. Her delicate appearance contrasts with her brutal personality. Secretly in love with Kitamura, Taiga agrees to help Ryuji with his love interest as long as he helps her get closer to hers. (Summary provided by ANN and AniDB) |

The Review
This anime is perfect for anyone who's ever felt misunderstood. Each of the main characters are misunderstood by their peers. As the story unfolds you learn more and more about the characters and who they really are.
One of the things that makes this show slightly different is the constant change in opening and ending theme songs. There's quite a verity of songs, including a Christmas ending song for the Christmas episode.
Toradoa! covers a wide range of emotions and does a good job showing the animations for them. When a character says something they don't actually mean, you can see that in their face. The body language was really well done.
By the end of the series, every character goes through some kind of realization process. They learn more about themselves and slowly change into more mature people. It's got a touching Slice of Life feel to it that just makes you happy that you've watched it.
