Original Summary
After completing the first game, I was confused on what more there was to do. He's already the God of War, so why make a sequel? Actually, there's five games in all now. Anyway, I was pretty interested to see what happens, so I started playing it almost instantly after completing the first game.
Graphics
No change in the graphics from what I can tell. Maybe the cut scenes are a bit better. Has a lot more boobs than the first game did. At least I thought so. I had no idea that everyone in ancient Greece had perfect shaped D-cup breasts, until I played the God of War games.
Battle System
It's very similar to the first game. Just a few small changes to make room for new abilities such as flight and grappling. Still looks awesome, but I started having issues with everything using the same buttons. I also didn't like how once you started a combo, you couldn't stop it until you finished. This made it hard to do certain timed tasks.
Storyline
Kratos still blames the Gods of Olympus for everything. Aries is dead and so he channels all his rage towards Zeus. With the help of the Titan, Gaia, he goes on a journey to change his fate and slay the Leader of Olympus.
Music
Still as intense as before. They did fix the music glitch where it would play even though there wasn't any more enemies. It really is good music and makes everything you do sound like it's the greatest thing in the world, but I don't think I would go as far as buying the soundtrack. However, both versions of my game came with the soundtracks, so I guess I had no choice in the matter.
Wings
I watched the bonus stuff on the first game I heard all about how some dude really wanted the ability to fly. Wanted it so badly that the made up some crap side story that was filled with plot holes, just so you can gain wings and use them. I hated flying and I think they make Kratos look gay.
God-Like Fame
Everyone knows you. And I mean everyone. Even when you travel through time to the past, before you were even born, they knew you. Not only do they know your name, but who you use to be. I'm confused on how some of the characters know all about Kratos. They're people who have been chained up for hundreds of years and still know him and know he is the new God of War. It's a plot hole that doesn't really effect much, but it still bugs me.
Final Battle
I wont ruin it for any of you who have not played the game, but I do want to point out that the final battle is a hell of a lot better then the first game. You get to use all your magic and abilities. It's interesting and has multiple different parts. I'm glad they didn't do the same crap they did in the first game for the final battle.
Final Opinion
I have mix feelings about this game. I loved it. I think it's better then the first game. However, I hated the wing parts. It almost ruined the game for me. Kratos is badass and he really doesn't need wings. The grappling and wall climbing were so badass. The areas were gigantic. The storyline was super interesting. Well, except for the random plot holes that didn't effect the overall story. In the end, the game made me want to play the 3rd one. However, I lack a PS3 and it'll be some time before I can sit down and play it. I suggest this for all who love adventure games, mythology, or happen to play the first one and for some reason didn't play this.
