Plot Summary
One day, 14 year old Yusuke Urameshi suddenly finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out of the way of oncoming traffic. Since he has such a bad personality, even the Spirit World was caught by surpise that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke soon finds out he wasn't supposed to die and has a chance for resurrection and bringing his body back to life. After being resurrected, Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, and one adventure after another happens, whether it be an investigation or a fighting tournament.

Original Opinion
I saw the anime first, which is unusual for me. I tend to read the manga before watching the anime. However, it was on the awesome version of Toonami. Anyway, I knew it was going to be decent and so I decided to read it.
Art Style
Just your basic 90's fighting drawing. Not very detailed in some parts and sometimes it is detailed. The same thing was noticeable in Hunter X Hunter and since they're both by the same creator, it must just be the way he draws.
Open Ending
To be fair, the manga ended well. However, there was so much more that could have been done. It could have kept going for at least two other arcs. They weren't really needed, but would have been nice. Yoshihiro Togashi has a horrible habit of creating awesome worlds, but not doing as much with them as he could have. He tends to end the manga nicely, but some how leaving it open ended and never doing anything with it.
Final Opinion
If you're waiting around for Hunter X Hunter to continue, and you haven't read this manga, then I suggest you do so. The anime itself is a Toonami classic, so you know the manga will be decent. I recommend this for anyone who wants to revisit the Toonami years, but with a slight twist and change in media.
