Plot Summary
Akikan ("Empty Can") is the unlikely story of sixteen year-old high school student named Kakeru Daichi, whose can of melon juice soda magically transforms into a human girl. His first sip became his first kiss, as the can came to life in the form of a beautiful girl, who he called 'Melon'. The can is part of a government project called 'Akikan', where certain empty cans turn into beautiful girls. Naturally, more "akikan" girls begin appearing, each of them needing to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive.

The Review
At first glance, I originally thought this was going to be a harem anime. After watching it, I found out that it wasn't. The plot summary is sort of misleading in that sense. There are other Akikan girls, but they have their own partners.
This is a hard anime to review. The basic plot is; The Akikan girls are at war with one another. See, in Japan there's two types of soda cans, aluminum and steel. The government has decided that it's too costly to continue producing both, so they developed a way for the cans to come alive. They then battle it out and the which ever type wins, is the type they will continue to produce.
The fighting is a joke. Each character has a single move that gets overused with almost no results. Most of the fighting is just the girls arguing over stupid things and the entire story gets sidetracked halfway through the series. This is the first half season anime I've ever watched that actually has multiple filler episodes.
