Following the events of the first series Keima has managed to capture the hearts of four girls and thus the spirits which hid in their hearts. But the way to escape the real world is still long and his quest has only just begun. Suddenly a beautiful girl chasing a spirit appears before him. She is Haqua, Elsea's friend and an outstanding student back in hell, who was promoted to the rank of a district chief. However, it seems that she is hiding something. And once again Keima has to become a god. The capture target this time - a demon.

The Review
Once again we return to the world that God only knows. This second season has a whole new line up of girls for our hero to conquer. Of course, this time seems a bit more challenging. None of the girls are following the game paths he is use to. Has he finally met his match?
I just love the music they use. Both season has really good music and I don't mind hearing the opening theme songs multiple times. I would probably download the OST if I ever found it. Which is kinda rare for me. I don't usually pay much attention to background music.
I was worried that with a second season, the show would become repetitive. And it does to a point. We all know he's going to get the girl to fall for him, but it's really the journey that makes the show worth watching. This time the Divine One hits a few snags along the way. Another demon girl appears and informs him that he's a long way away from finishing his contract. There's a total of 60,000(?) lost souls and only 15 have been captured in all.
Besides conquering girls, this season seemed to cover a lot about the main character's perspective on reality. He's slowly starting to accept it and it seems at times that he's playing less games. I think if they do a third season, it'll be the turning point for his character development.
Speaking of a third season. Unlike the last episode of the first season, this season's last episode didn't announce another season. It did however show glimpses of a few more girls leading viewers to believe there might actually be one. The reason for no announcement could be them just seeing how popular this season was before attempting a third.
What bothered me in the first season and in this one was the fact that lost souls only appear one at a time. He's never had any issues with trying to conquer two girls at any single time. I wonder if this will ever change?
